Saturday Site – The Yes Men

Posted in movies and television by Kaitlin on June 27, 2009

This Saturday’s site is The Yes Men (totally unrelated to the movie and book Yes Man). These Yes Men work on correcting identities aka “Impersonating big-time criminals in order to publicly humiliate them. Targets are leaders and big corporations who put profits ahead of everything else.”

The Yes Men are grown up pranksters who use their wits and sense of humor to bring dirty truths into the light. They work through hijinks big and small from making fake websites for corporations to printing books and movies. Their latest film, The Yes Men Fix the World, is due out soon. Temporary trailer below:

They’re looking for help designing the poster for the new movie. If you’ve got the skills and want to help, you can email them. If you’re interested in learning more and getting updates, join their mailing list. All the info’s on their site.

Right now they’re also promoting another interesting site: BeyondTalk which focuses on what we can do to help stop climate change.
